Early in my study of art,
I experimented with sculpture then started painting acrylics. I then moved to the study of pastels, which I still continue today. Pastels can be soft and blended or bold and rich in color. In my pastel paintings, I try to capture the effects of nature or the differences of structures in my own impressionistic way. Two of the many artists I admire are Van Gogh because of his use of bold colors and Monet with implied style and expressive strokes.
Originally from Logansport,
Indiana, I lived in southern California for
many years. Back in northern Indiana for more than thirteen
years, I live in Granger with my
wife and two children. Most of my art involves commissioned work, recreating special moments, places, animals or family homes.
My work is on display at these
local galleries and businesses: Mishawaka City Hall
and Raymond James and Associates in Mishawaka, Flourish Boutique and Galleria and CircaArts in South Bend, Indiana and also the Waterlily Gallery in Syracuse, Indiana.
My art is in private collections in Chicago Illinois, Jacksonville Florida, and in Palm Desert, Laguna Hills, San Clemente, and Apple Valley in California and locally in Granger, Lafayette, Mishawaka, and South Bend, Indiana.
